Square’s classic RPG Secret of Mana is now available on Android, letting you relive the happy pixellated childhood moments without busting out that dusty SNES. It’s not cheap though; be prepared to shell out $9 for the title.
Like many of Square Enix’s other mobile titles, The Secret of Mana features touch-screen optimized controls and a few visual upgrades. For the most part, the Android version of Secret of Mana retains its 16-bit looks, with some of the menus sporting upgraded graphics.
Secret of Mana was a game changer back in the 90’s, offering RPG lovers an entirely new way to adventure. The SNES classic RPG was the first to allow a second player to jump into the fray, and introduced a ‘ring menu’ which let you change weapons, use items and the like on the fly.
