Again and again, we’re telling you about the upcoming Xperia Z3, which doesn’t look like a big improvement to the current Xperia Z2 model. The device rather offers cosmetic changes and very similar, almost identical hardware under the hood.
According to EVleaks, the Z3 will sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip that includes Adreno 330 graphics (not the slightly faster Snapdragon 805), 5.15-inch full HD screen, 3GB of RAM, 20.7-megapixel rear and 2.1-megapixel front cameras, 16GB of expandable storage, while Android 4.4.4 KitKat will run the show. All this will be packed into a 7mm-thin body, making for a that much sexier look and feel.
In other words, this should’ve been the Xperia Z2, whereas we expected the Z3 to boast Snapdragon 805 and Quad HD screen. Alas, those things will have to wait for some other device. Perhaps the Sony smartphone we’re all waiting for is the rumored Xperia Z3X we’ve talked about yesterday.
The Xperia Z3 likely won’t cost a fortune and will find its buyers among users who don’t want to pay premium for a handset made by Apple or Samsung. Or so we think…
